Angela Scanlon is an Irish broadcaster, podcaster and author known for hosting shows on the BBC, ITV and RTÉ.  

Angela’s work as a stylist led her into TV studios where she fell in love with broadcasting. Her first major documentary Oi Ginger! aired on RTE in 2014 to critical acclaim. This led to follow-up series Angela Scanlon: Full Frontal which tackled taboo subjects such as extreme makeovers, fitness, and nudity.  

Since beginning her work with the BBC Angela has hosted The One Show, cult classic Robot Wars alongside Dara O’Brien, BBC Two’s hit interior design show Your Home Made Perfect and Your Garden Made Perfect, Trumps Unlikely Superfans for BBC Three, as well as coverage of T In The Park and the BAFTAs. Angela has had her own Saturday night chat show on RTÉ One Angela Scanlon’s Ask Me Anything, took over from Graham Norton to host her own radio show on Virgin Radio and in 2023 she took part in Strictly Come Dancing alongside pro-partner Carlos Gu. 

In 2022 Angela published her debut book Joyrider: How Gratitude Can Get Help You Get The Life You Really Want, to rave reviews. Part memoir, part self-help guide, Joyrider sees Angela chart her own journey into the world of self-development. 

2025 saw Angela take on a team captain role for ITV1’s Pictionary hosted by Mel Giedroyc co-host the BBC’s Pointless with Alexander Armstrong and launch her hugely successful podcast Get A Grip with Vicky Pattison. 

This year Angela has joined ITV's This Morning hosting family, co-presented the Eurovision semi-finals alongside Rylan for BBC One and taken over The Apprentice spin off show Unfinished Business for BBC Two and BBC Sounds.
